Because we are closer to Halloween than we are Christmas – Sorry ’bout it fellow Basics – I’m going to keep the Hallowed fun going!
Being an overachiever I decided to volunteer to be class mom for S’s pre-3 class. Thankfully I have another co-class mom who keeps this hotmess train running smoothly, but nevertheless this meant I had to help plan the class Halloween party.
I LOVE fall, but have never been a huge Halloween fan. *don’t shoot!* So any reason to keep the pumpkin love going before Christmas gets thrown at us (y’all it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet!) is A – OK in my book!
Before I start sharing adorable pics of sweet little 3 year olds – I will say – for privacy reasons I’m not going to share a lot since, not my kids, not my right to share. (take note family members and randoms on the internet that feel it’s ok to share other people’s kids pics without their parents consent)
Unlike his mama, S LOVES Halloween! He had been talking about it since, August, so getting to make his Halloween extra special was fun! This year at school is his first year away from me. Which is a big deal, but he loves going and being with his “best friends”. *heart melt!*
Theo, can’t wait to go and talks about school each time we drop S off – but gotta kick that diaper habit kid! Until then, he gets to tag along for any class parties. #classmomprivileges
He had the best time playing (and eating – can you tell?!) with all the fun toys while the class did a fun activity!
Thanks to Pinterest and all of its amazing ideas – the other class mom made the cutest take home, “aw” inducing craft for the kids.
Little pumpkin’s that the kids would finger paint orange and then attach their picture to! Seriously – have you “aw’d” yet?! The kids LOVED it! Then while they played, they had their Polaroids snapped to attach to the pumpkin after they dried!
Now no class party is complete without a party favor! Thanks to Re-Play Recycled we put together the cutest gifts! Using the Halloween colored cups, Stephanie (the co-class mom) made vinyl stickers of all of the kids names and attached them, personalizing each one! Then I filled them with pencils, erasers, bubbles, bouncy balls, glow sticks, and like any good Halloween party – vampire teeth – and wrapped them in spider web patterned bags. The kids LOVED them! Now here’s the trick friends – make gifts that MOMS will appreciate! Ignore the candy – we all know they got plenty of that – and go for things that kids can reuse. Like amazing recycled cups! Win-win!
After attempting a class pic – which was interesting with 25 toddlers – the party was over and the sugar high crash was starting to kick in. The kids had the best time and all the chaos was worth all of “thank you mommy thank you” from Bastian.
